Free Traffic Methods

With the way the economy is going, not everyone can afford to expend massive amounts of money on advertising their website or blog. The only solution is to devise creative (and free) ways to bring in traffic. The question then arises if you’ll take any traffic you can get, or if you’re looking for niche-targeted traffic. Either way, the tips I will discuss in this post can be adapted for whatever you want.

Free Traffic Methods

1. SEO – Search Engine Optimization. This may seem like a no-brainer but it’s actually the most effective way to bring in visitors and can often be done at no cost. Optimizing your site for search engines brings in organic (and often highly targeted) traffic.

2. Social Networking – Twitter, Facebook, etc. While there are many people who feel Twitter is much more popular than it should be (myself included) it is important to realize the potential it carries due to this popularity. It’s free to sign-up and participate and it is a great way to bring in free traffic. Other social networking sites such as Facebook and MySpace are also useful. If you own a blog, try creating some social networking profiles for it and adding as many people as possible. Facebook has added functionality with it’s fan/group system.

3. Traffic Exchanges. Swap advertising space with other webmasters or explore the possibilities that traffic exchange systems such as EasyHits4U have to offer. Exchanging things is always a great system because both parties get what they need.

4. YouTube. Depending on your niche you may be able to produce videos that introduce your content and help bring people to your site. You can try writing about your site in the video’s description. For example, “This video is brought to you by RunningOnlineBusiness.com – a blog dedicated to teaching you about online business and how to make money online.”

5. Article Submission. Write an informative, high-quality article and submit it to various article directories. You can find a ton with a simple Google search. The directories give you a ‘resource box’ which has information and a link back to your site in your article. Many people that try this method walk away satisfied. The key is writing a useful article.

6. RSS Directories. While not extremely easy to find, there are entire directories setup to accept your RSS feed(s), and if you post quality material on your blog then this method should produce promising results.

7. Regular Directories. I’ve never heard of anyone getting significant traffic from directory submissions, but it is possible. Either way, the backlinks are valuable so it’s always worth a try.

8. Blog Commenting. I am a huge fan of blog commenting. I absolutely love receiving comments on my blog and I enjoy leaving comments on the blogs of others as well. This method produces traffic and nice backlinks. Be sure you aren’t spamming or doing anything you wouldn’t want someone to do to you. On a similar note, making your blog ‘DoFollow’ will increase traffic because people want to post comments to get a backlink. If you do this, however, be ready to deny a lot of spam.

9. Guest Posting. Most blog owners (once again, myself included) will allow you to write a post for their blog and will, in exchange, place some information about you or your blog, as well as a link or two, at the top of the article. If you can find someone who will allow you to write a guest post for them, and you can make sure you meet their standard of quality, this is a wonderful way to get free traffic and backlinks.

10. Forums. Probably the best invention known to man, forums can provide you with a constant flow of traffic. Sign-up to a forum in your niche and place a link to your blog or site in your signature. With every post you make, exposure for your links is gained. Assuming you contribute nicely to the community and your posts are not spam, people will click on your links.

11. Freebies! Offer people something for free on your blog. This will always result in great traffic. In one of my posts here at RunningOnlineBusiness I gave out free lists of DoFollow blogs. It pulled in some nice traffic and also was a way for me to give back to the community. If you decide to write and give away something like an eBook, be sure to include a link back to your site in it.

12. Social Bookmarks. Submit your posts to Digg, StumbleUpon, del.icio.us, and other social bookmarking websites. Encourage your visitors to do the same. This has the potential to bring you traffic if your posts are interesting enough.

Well, that’s all I have for now! Hopefully you learned something from this post and are prepared to go out and start pulling in free traffic for your blog. Let me know by leaving a comment below if you have any methods to add to the list, if you’ve tried anything I talked about in this post, or even if you need some help!

How to Refill and Reuse a Printer Cartridge

steps

1
Purchase an ink refill kit at an office supply store. Many office supply and discount stores carry this inexpensive kit. It usually costs about half the price of an average printer cartridge.) You can also find these kits at online retailers.

2
Gather your kit, a roll of paper towels, and some clear scotch tape together on a large flat working surface, a table or desk.
3
Remove the empty cartridge from your printer. (Remember to close your printer lid or door while you are working.)
4
Cover your hands with a pair of disposable plastic gloves while you work with the messy ink.
5
Take a paper towel and fold it in half twice. Work over the paper towel to catch any leaking ink.
6
Place the empty cartridge on it.
7
Read the instruction manual included with the refill kit to learn how to refill your particular type of cartridge. (The following instructions are just a general guide).
8
Locate the fill holes on the top of the cartridge. The depressions can be felt by rubbing your finger across the label. Some cartridges have more than one hole, but only one leads to the ink reservoir that you will refill. This hole will have a sponge in it.
9
Use a sharp pencil to pierce the refill holes in the top of the ink cartridge Or you can take the top label off with a knife or screwdriver (Correct places can also be found in the kit instructions).
10
In addition to black, there are three colors of ink: magenta, cyan, and yellow. Follow the kit instructions on which hole to insert each color OR push a toothpick into the holes to identify the colors as markings on the printer cartridge are sometimes there to fool you into putting the wrong colors into the cartridge ink chambers.
11
Insert the long needle of the refill ink bottle deeply into the correct hole penetrating the foam down into the bottom of the cartridge. It is important not to push air into the cartridge foam while refilling. (An air pocket will keep the ink from reaching the print head causing the cartridge not to print.)
12
Slowly, add the ink. Carefully watch to be sure that you do not over-fill.
13
Stop quickly as soon as you see a bit of ink oozing out of the hole. Without letting go of the bottle, slowly release the air, sucking a little ink back out of the ink cartridge, before you remove the needle completely.
14
Carefully daub the cartridge contacts on the paper towel, you should see a splotch of the ink leaking out onto the paper towel.
15
Cover the hole with a small piece of clear scotch tape. (This works better than the seal dots included in the kit.) Make sure that no ink is leaking out of the top holes. (That's where the clear tape comes in handy.) Be careful not to cross contaminate the colors.
16
Repeat steps 11-15 for each ink color.
17
After you have refilled all three colors, carefully blot (don't wipe or rub) the cartridge printhead on a folded piece of paper towel. You may need to do this several times. Do this until it stops bleeding and you see an even stripe of three colors showing up on the towel.
18
If the blot shows the colors either faded or not at all, blot on wet paper towel and again on dry, to get the ink flowing.
19
Replace the ink cartridge into the printer. Never, ever install a leaking print cartridge.
20
Immediately print something, anything, just to get the ink flowing. Print several test pages, preferable photos with a lot of different colors.
21
Follow the cleaning or priming cycles for your specific printer

Bypass Any Windows Login Password [TUT]

This method utilizes a USB flash drive with at least 100MB capacity.
I also assume that your BIOS allows for you to boot from a USB flash drive.

Step One: Download Needed Files

I've prepared everything we need in one archive
- Kon-Boot Image
- Cloned Floppy Disk Files
- UnetBootin
Direct Download = https://www.dropbox.com/s/3g15if1a6o...ss%20Login.zip
The only executable file is UnetBootin, if you don't trust me feel free to delete it and download your own version.

Step Two: Prepare USB
1. Plug in your USB
2. Format the USB to FAT32

Open UnetBootin and match the settings to the picture below

(of-course for the path select the actual path for the KON.IMG file on your computer)
4. Click OK
5. When it's done DON'T RESTART. Instead click Exit.
6. Drag the files from "Fake Floppy.zip" onto your USB

It's going to ask you if you want to replace the files already on there click yes, you DO want to replace the file.
7. Your DONE, now to test it restart your computer and enter your BIOS or Bootload selecter.
On my ASUS laptop I just simply hit ESC as soon as my laptop turns on and I can select which device I want to boot from.
I shouldn't need to tell you that the device you want to boot from is the USB.

Step Three: Boot into Kon-boot
Here is a video demonstration of what it looks like (this is not my video):
